High School Dress Codes


Girls      Boys

GIRLS

Shirts Long or short sleeved turtleneck, polo shirt with collar, or blouse with collar in white, clear red, navy blue, yellow, black or gray.
Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
Skirts University Plaid Hip Stitch: #1890
Wilson Box Pleat or Pleated: #868 or #1890
Navy Hip Stitch or Box Pleat: #1890 or #868
Knee length
Socks Plain knee-highs, tights or anklets in the following colors: solid white, navy blue, black, gray. Socks are required.
Sweaters Solid white, clear red, navy blue, yellow, black or gray in any style (pullover, cardigan, V -neck, Sweater vest).
Sweatshirts are not permitted.
Shoes Brown or black leather or gym shoes may be worn. No clogs.
Other No make-up.
No jewelry.
No earrings; ear-studs are permitted.
No nail polish.
No sweatpants are to be worn under the school uniform during the regular school hours with the exception of recess.

  • Any decisions on "questionable" clothing will be handled by the Headmaster
Please note:   Student and parental support is expected in this very important matter of dress decorum. Land's End is our preferred supplier of dress code items, particularly shirts, sweaters, and pants. Most of these items are available from the Land's End Uniform Catalogue, except for girls' skirts which must be purchased at THE UNIFORM PLACE. Land's End can also supply the school monogram on sweaters, shirts and other suitable items. Monogrammed sweatshirts are encouraged for leisurewear but are not permitted for school uniform use. BOYS

Shirts Long or short sleeved turtleneck, polo shirt with collar, dress shirt with collar in white, clear red, navy blue, pale blue, or yellow.
Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
Pants Navy dress pants (twill), navy corduroy pants or khaki colored pants. No cargo pants. No jeans.
Shorts Navy walking shorts in the months of September, May, and June only.
Socks Plain navy or white. Socks are required.
Shoes Brown or black leather shoes or gym shoes may be worn.
Sweaters Solid white, clear red, navy blue, pale blue, or yellow in any style (pullover, cardigan, V -neck, Sweater vest).
Sweatshirts are not permitted.
Hair Traditional hair cut is required. Boys' hair must be trimmed above the collar. "Tails," "steps," and "designs" shaved into the hair are not allowed.
